Strateco’s board of directors is composed of highly qualified and experienced members. Diversified skills, experience and expertise unite to ensure the success of the Company.

 

Guy Hébert

President and CEO

Guy Hébert, Geo., MBA, has been the president and a director of the Company since April 2000. He has also been President of BBH Geo-Management Inc. since October 1992. Over the years, Mr. Hebert has held many management positions with various mining companies:

  • President of Lyon Lake Mines Ltd. (1986 to 2001);
  • President and CEO of Audrey Resources Inc. (1985 to 1992);
  • President, CEO and Director of Altavista Mines Inc. (1995 to 2000).

 

 

Jean-Pierre Lachance

Executive & Exploration Vice President

Jean-Pierre Lachance, Geo., has been Executive Vice President and a director of the Company since April 2000. He has also been Vice President of BBH Geo-Management Inc. since October 1992. Between 1996 and 2001, he held many management positions for various mining companies:

  • Vice President, then Executive Vice President, of Lyon Lake Mines Ltd. (1996 to 2001);
  • President of Novontar S.A., a company with properties in Costa Rica (1996 to 2002).

Jean-Guy Masse

Director

Jean-Guy Masse has been a director of the Company since April 2000. He has been President of Northern Precious Metals Funds since October 2003 and President of Masvil Capital Inc. since 1992. From 1992 to 1998, he was President of Orleans Resources Inc. and from 1988 to 1992 he was President of CMP Fund Management Ltd. He is a member of the Audit Committee.

 

Robert Desjardins

Director

Robert Desjardins has been a director of the Company since October 2001. He obtained his degree in accounting sciences in 1967 from the HEC Montreal. Since 1989, Mr. Desjardins has been President of Robert G. Desjardins et Associés inc., a firm specializing in corporate finance and the development of financial products. Mr. Desjardins is a member of the Ordre des Administrateurs Agréés du Québec. He is a member of the Audit Committee.

 

Henri Lanctôt

Director

Henri Lanctôt has been a director of the Company since January 2007. He is a partner at Gowling Lafleur Henderson LLP. He was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 1968 after graduating in 1967 from the Faculty of Law of the University of Montreal. In 1984, Mr. Lanctôt joined Lafleur Brown, a law firm that merged with Gowlings in 2000. He was appointed to the Board in January 2007 following the resignation of Claude Hubert.

 

Marcel Bergeron

Director

Marcel Bergeron, CA and a director of the Company since March 2007, obtained a bachelor’s degree in accounting sciences from the University of Québec in Montreal (UQAM) in 1981. He has been a member of the Ordre des comptables en management accrédités du Québec (CMA) since June 1981 and of the Ordre des comptables agréés du Québec (CA) since December 1983. He was a partner at Petrie Raymond, chartered accountants, the auditors of Strateco, from July 1990 to June 2006, and later joined Devimco Inc., a real estate company, as General Manager in July 2006. He was appointed to the Board in March 2007 following the death of Francine Bélanger in November 2006. He is a member of the Audit Committee.

 

Paul-Henri Couture

Director

Mr. Couture has been a director of the Company since January 2011. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from HEC Montréal and is a Certified Financial Analyst (CFA). Mr. Couture is the president of Sentient Asset Management Canada Ltd, a Sentient Group company, since 2009. He has over 30 years of experience as a financial management and investment professional. He held various positions at the Caisse de Dépôt et Placement du Québec from 1983 to 2009.
